RAKU DYE

Dating back to the 16th century, Raku Dye is an ancient Japanese high temp. dye-technique, originally used for ceramic-work. We applied the same technique - essentially heating the texture and dye into the fibres itself, resulting in a characteristic and unique look.

REVERSIBLE-SEAM

A technique used on our double-layered garments, making the inner layer of fabric appear on the surface, through a reversible seam, giving a distressed and intrinsic character.

CONTRAST-STITCHING

The contrast-stitching is a signature detail of ours - featured on multiple article. The contrast-stitching not only adds color-contrasting, but also reinforcing the seams through an extra strong thread.

HAND-DYES IN NORTH ITALY

A meticulous process with our collaborative dye-house in North-Italy, allows us to develop unique colours and textures to our fabrics. As a result of working with hand-dye over machine-dye, each dyed garment is individually treated and may vary slightly - subsequently meaning that the garment is unique to it's owner.

FABRIC MANIPULATION

Manipulating the fabric to create a certain look or effect through fabric manipulative techniques - often providing a characteristic look with distinctive textures. Pictured our Glacier Long-Sleeve, decorated with irregular pintuck seams, to create shadows - mimicking the actual look of a glacier seen from the sky.
